Solar PV, or Solar Photovoltaics to be precise, is a renewable energy technology, it is capable of converting light into electrical current, amazing eh? This electricity can then be used in your home, and to feed back to the grid so others can use your excess.

Solar photovoltaic (Solar PV) panels contain cells, made up of photovoltaic material, which convert solar energy into DC electricity. The DC electricity generated by the Solar PV material is fed to an inverter there it is converted to AC. Photovoltaics are typically found as solar PV panels which are mounted on your existing roof and solar PV tiles, which replace existing roof tiles.
